Who operates this website

The Language Learning Resource is an independent UK-based language-learning information website operated by Paul Burrows (English With Paul). For questions about privacy or information held about you, email eflwithpaul@gmail.com.

Information we handle

• Contact correspondence: If you email us, we receive your email address, message and any details you choose to include.
• Website activity: WordPress.com and its Jetpack site statistics may process visit information such as page views, referral sources, approximate location, and technical browser information. Site operators typically see aggregated visitor statistics, not the identity of ordinary visitors.
• Comments: If commenting is enabled in future, WordPress may collect the information you provide, including name or email if requested.
• Subscriptions and affiliate links: No email newsletter signup or third-party affiliate tracking programme has been activated by this website at launch. This notice will be updated before introducing new forms of processing.

Why we use information

We use messages to answer enquiries, site activity reports to understand which resources readers find useful, and operational data to maintain the site’s security and performance. Where UK data protection law applies, we generally rely on legitimate interests for ordinary correspondence, site improvement and security, subject to an assessment of readers’ rights. Where consent is required for any optional tracking, it should be requested before that tracking is used.

Who provides the hosting

This website is hosted on WordPress.com, provided by Automattic. Links to other websites

How long we keep information

Email correspondence is kept only as long as reasonably needed to respond, handle related enquiries, meet applicable legal duties or resolve disputes. WordPress.com determines retention for some platform logs and security data under its own policies. We will periodically review correspondence and remove information that no longer needs to be kept.
